Black bird with white patch on thighs. During breeding season, has red facial skin.
Distribution:
Resident along the Pacific Coast of North America from Alaska to Mexico.
Cool Facts:
Pelagic Cormorants can be easy to miss, given their proclivity for perching on very narrow ledges along sheer cliffs, even when the space is so small that they must crane their necks at awkward angles to fit.
