Identification:
Dark above and light below, with dark undertail coverts. Head dark with light spot above eye.
Distribution:
Nests in the Caribbean. In summer and fall, found far offshore of the eastern and Gulf Coast of North America.
Cool Facts:
The Audubon’s Shearwater and its relatives are agile flyers, often shearing the water at the crest of ocean waves with their wingtips as they glide by.
