The colorful Tropical Parula is widespread throughout Central and South America, though it does not enter the Amazon basin. Small numbers of these birds reach the US in southern Texas.
Though all male Tropical Parulas sport a bright yellow front and blue/gray back, plumage details vary by region, including darker masks and orange tinges on the chest in birds farther north.
