Rufous breast streak and cap. Black mask. Gray back with black streaks. Buff on neck and undertail.

The Bay-Breasted Warbler feeds primarily on spruce budworms on its breeding grounds. Populations are more cyclical than other warblers, becoming more abundant during spruceworm outbreaks.
