Cool Facts:

The Gyrfalcon is the largest falcon in the world, spanning the arctic tundra in plumage ranging from dark gray to snowy white. These fierce hunters prey primarily on ptarmigan and, anecdotally, defend their territory from threats as large as fixed-wing aircraft.
